Al Barsa Jr. was the president of Barsa Consulting and a long time supporter of the AS/400, iSeries, & System i platform.
He was a frequent speaker at COMMON and many user groups. He was also a very active participant in midrange.com mailing lists. If you had an OS/400 question, Al probably had the answer.
Al passed away just after the 2008 COMMON conference in Nashville TN.
In response to the IBM i communities desire to make contributions in Al's memory, the COMMON Education Foundation created the Al Barsa Memorial Scholarship.
