JVM is an acronym for Java Virtual Machine.
The iSeries supports multiple full featured Java Virtual Machines.
Introduced in Unknown release, the iSeries JVM's support Java environments up to 1.5.
In V5R4, IBM introduced a 32Bit JVM that runs with much less memory requirements, although it does require that PASE be installed on the system.
