Synon

Synon/2E (also know in more recent incarnations as COOL:2E, Advantage 2E and currently AllFusion 2E, but colloquially known as either "Synon" or simply "2E") is a case tool delivered by CA which allows users to design, generate and build a database in either DDS or SQL and complex applications over that database in RPG and COBOL.
Synon was a software company which, at its height, dominated the worldwide market for third party application development tools for the iSeries platform. Its products continue to be widely used in that sector today, distributed and supported by Computer Associates.
