Why create this Wiki when there is iSeries content on Wikipedia?

Simple really ... Wikipedia is a fine general refernece ... it has information about a lot of different topic. It has a handful of articles on iSeries topics ... but it can only scratch the surface.

This wiki is intended to be ONLY about iSeries topics ... if someone wants to do some research on an iSeries topic, they can count on the MidrangeWiki to have a the information they need ... without any distracting information that isn't relelvent.

So if someone does a search on RPG ... they won't get information on Role Playing Games or Rocket Propelled Grenades ... just the various versions of Report Program Generator.

This wiki's goal is depth of information, not breadth.
