SNDPTFORD is the command that requests PTFs from your service provider. The PTFs can be requested ovet TCP/IP or via modem.
SNDPTFORD relies on a service configuration created via CRTSRVCFG and maintained via CHGSRVCFG. If the service configuration becomes corrupted, it can be deleted via DLTSRVCFG and re-created. Validate the configuration with VFYSRVCFG. An example of a valid configuration:
VFYSRVCFG SERVICE(*ecs) VFYOPT(*ALL) Verify processing started. Verification for Gateway_1 was successful. Verification for Gateway_2 was successful. Verification for Problem_Report_1 was successful. Verification for Problem_Report_2 was successful. Verification for Problem_Report_3 was successful. Verification for Problem_Report_4 was successful. Verification for Problem_Report_5 was successful.
