AIX is a unix variant that primarily runs on the pSeries system, but a subset of it's functionality can also be found in OS/400 and is accessed through PASE.

IBM i runs on PowerPC hardware, and thus, much AIX software that is compiled against PPC will run under IBM i. See the PASE page for details.
