ODBC Driver
From MidrangeWiki
The System i ODBC Driver is a mechanism to allow non-System i based access to the System i DB2 database. From a practical standpoint, that means it enables a Microsoft Windows or Linux/OpenBSD program to read and update the System i database. Through the JDBC bridge, Java can use an ODBC driver to connect to the database, too.
